Asset Details

Overview

The Asset Details page is used to inspect a single asset and review the devices attached to it. The name can be changed here. Delete asks you to confirm that asset's name. The device count matches the devices listed on that load.

Asset Summary

Attached Devices

The attached devices table shows devices that are currently linked to the asset. Create device opens the device form with this asset already selected.

Each attached device row can provide navigation to the related device details page.

Open an Attached Device

1. Open an asset details page.
2. Review the attached devices table.
3. Open a linked device from the table.

Site numbers

A site number is one stored reading for the whole asset. When a meter on this asset sends a reading, the platform stores the total, the average, the highest, or how many meters are in alarm. The meter behind that number is stored on the same key with _meter on the end.

Add total sets the key, the kind, and the source key the meters send. Add site alarm raises an alarm on this asset when that stored number crosses the line. Save writes both. The dashboard widget Asset calculated fields is the card that shows them.

Asset Attributes

Assets can expose attributes that are managed through a dedicated table.

Not Found State

If the requested asset does not exist, the page can show a not found state.

Delete Constraints

• An asset cannot be deleted when it has child assets.
• An asset cannot be deleted when devices are attached to it.
