Solution Preview

The Solution Preview page renders the solution's dashboard in read-only mode and prepares that tenant's lazy sample sandbox on first open.

Note: Widget layout is read-only. Use Sample data On/Off to feed undeletable demo devices. Use copies a clean dashboard into Dashboards (no sample chrome).

Steps

1. Open a solution (Preview / card).
2. On first open, Autoconnecto provisions demo devices + a data generator for your tenant (lazy). This stays under Solutions forever.
3. Toggle Sample data On to see live sample telemetry; Off to stop the generator. A reading is sent about every 5 seconds on the platform API host (pack interval — not limited by your plan’s minimum telemetry gap). Retention for that sample data follows your plan. Preview stays on the home (default) board view when Sample turns on — you are not moved to a detail faceplate. If Sample does not start, the reason stays on the preview. Your sample is private to your tenant. Sample stays On until you turn it Off (closing the browser does not stop it). A dashboard copied with Use does not keep Sample running.
4. Sample telemetry stays mostly in realistic bands and occasionally spikes (over/under voltage, overcurrent, frequency, power factor). Demo devices use a dedicated sample profile with matching alarm rules, so Solution alarm widgets populate like field devices.
5. Optionally click Use to create a normal dashboard with a setup guide.
6. Click Back to return to the Solutions list.

Navigation

• Back — Returns to the Solutions list.
• Sample data — Starts/stops the Solution sandbox generator only.
• Use — Creates a dashboard copy without sample controls; Solution sandbox is unchanged.
