Dashboard Page

Overview

A dashboard page displays widgets and provides toolbar actions for working with the dashboard.

Add Widget — add a new widget to the dashboard.

Default
State Selector — switch between available dashboard states.
Add State / Page — create another dashboard state or page (edit mode only; hidden for read-only users).
Delete State — remove the current dashboard state (edit mode only; hidden for read-only users).
Alias — open Manage aliases from More, or beside the alias field in widget settings (edit mode only; hidden for read-only users). A widget with no alias says "Create an alias first". The device list stays empty until that alias exists.
Read-only role — a TENANT_READ_ONLY user (including Login-as as a read-only customer) never sees Edit, Add Widget, Add State / Page, or Manage Aliases.
Entity Selector — change the active runtime entity context.
Realtime / Historical — Data mode on the toolbar. The selected side is the dark pill so you can see which mode is active.
Time Window — adjust the time range for historical data.
Theme Selector — switch Light or Dark for the dashboard. Available in view and edit (not only while editing).
Setup tips — on solution / template dashboards that ship a setup guide. Closing the purple banner remembers the dismiss for that dashboard; use Setup tips → Open on the toolbar to read the same steps again.

Export JSON — export the dashboard definition as JSON.
Export PDF — export the current dashboard view as PDF.
Full Page — open or view the dashboard in a full-page layout.
Edit Mode — switch the dashboard into editing mode.
Share — a tenant owner or tenant admin creates a read-only link. The secret is shown once. An optional password and an optional expiry can be set. A wrong password says "Password is wrong". Ten wrong passwords in one minute return "Too many attempts", and the right password waits out that minute. Revoke stops the link on the next open. The page, and the device list behind it, show only the devices that dashboard already uses, including an alias the dashboard author configured. Switches, sliders, and commands stay off. Times are shown in IST. The link does not include a device token.

When the current state is not default, the page header shows:

Fleet home — returns to the default state
A breadcrumb trail: dashboard name → current state (and selected entity name on detail)

The dashboard supports the following states:

Dropping or resizing a tile saves its position.
Widget settings vary by widget type. A latest-value card and a KPI stat card have no time window.
