SCADA Boards
SCADA Boards is the plant mimic builder. Open SCADA Boards from the Build menu (fleet access).
Create a board, then:
- Drag symbols from the left palette onto the grey board. The pack is grouped:
- Process — tank, horizontal vessel, silo, column, pump, motor, compressor, fan, agitator, hand valve, control valve, check valve, damper, heat exchanger, filter, cooling tower, conveyor, gauge.
- Power — busbar, breaker, isolator, earth switch, transformer, CT, PT, lightning arrester, generator, capacitor, reactor, feeder (tower), RMU, energy meter, load, inverter, battery. This set is enough to draw a DISCOM bay (incomer, transformer, outgoing feeder) as well as a process plant.
- Indication — digital readout, lamp, heat strip, tag.
- Use Join pipe, choose Straight or Elbow, then click two symbols. Click a pipe to select it and switch it. Click the elbow corner to flip which way it turns. Flow animates in the bore when the edge’s flow key is on.
Colour on the board:
- Process equipment runs green (or the colour you set on a tank, which is the product colour). A valve or damper is green open, red closed, amber while throttling.
- Power gear follows substation practice: red is closed or live, green is open or dead, amber is a trip. The colour field does not override that.
- With no binding yet, process valves sit closed and power gear sits open.
- Select a node and bind telemetry keys (run, fault, level, position, rpm) in the inspector.
- Optionally bind a command (shared attribute, client attribute, or RPC). Operators confirm before send when that option is on.
- Save. Embed the board on a dashboard with the SCADA Board widget.
Load sample plant drops a process line. Load DISCOM bay drops a 33 kV-style feeder bay with no devices bound. Bind keys after either load.
Click equipment in operate mode (dashboard embed or Operate preview) to open the faceplate and send On / Off when a command is bound. Active alarms on a bound device make the symbol pulse.
Optional background: paste a schematic image URL on the board header. Points sit in canvas units so the board scales in any widget size.
You can Import mimic JSON from an older Schematic Overlay (mimicOverlay) config. That creates nodes only; add pipes in the builder.
Telemetry and attributes are still stored by the platform without a save node. Profile alarm rules and a rule-engine alarm node both run if both exist — bind board pulse from active alarms, do not copy the same threshold into both places unless you mean to.
Camera and RTSP are not part of SCADA Boards.
Sample solutions
JoinedPlantScada ships a joined plant (tank → pump → valve → motor → conveyor, plus fan and damper).
ProcessSymbols puts every process symbol on one board, with readout, lamp, heat strip, and tag.
PowerSymbols puts every power symbol on one board, with the same indicators.
Open the solution, turn Sample On. The board is the home state. Sandbox provision creates the board in your tenant and binds the demo device.
Use copies that board into Dashboards. You must give the dashboard a name. The sample generator and demo devices are not copied. The board is unbound. Set your own devices, telemetry keys, and attributes on the copy. Sample On stays on the solution preview. Deleting the dashboard also deletes that board, unless another dashboard still uses it.
