Generic HTTP integration

POST JSON from any system that can call an HTTPS webhook. This integration only receives. To send a reading to another system, use a webhook node on a rule engine.

In Autoconnecto

  1. Open Integrations → New integration.
  2. Choose Generic HTTP, name it, create.
  3. Copy the HTTP endpoint URL.
  4. Generate a webhook secret.
  5. Start the integration.

Call the endpoint

http
POST /api/v1/integrations/i/{integrationId}/telemetry?tenantId={tenantUuid}
X-Webhook-Secret: {your-secret}
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "deviceToken": "YOUR_DEVICE_TOKEN",
  "temperature": 22.5,
  "humidity": 48
}

You can also identify the device with an external id attribute (integration.external_id) instead of deviceToken, depending on your payload and adapter rules.

Runnable sample

From the device SDK repo:

bash
cd examples/integrations
export TENANT_ID=… WEBHOOK_SECRET=… DEVICE_TOKEN=…
./generic-webhook.sh

Also: generic-webhook.ps1, generic-webhook.py. Gateway child relay: gateway-relay-webhook.sh.

Verify

After a successful POST, open the integration’s Recent events and the device’s telemetry.

Optional transform

Add Transform steps on the integration detail page to rename, scale, or drop keys before ingest. Optional Script transform runs after those steps for custom JavaScript decoding.
