The Things Stack (TTN) integration

Connect The Things Stack / TTN v3 webhooks so LoRaWAN uplinks appear as telemetry on Autoconnecto devices.

Before you start

  1. Device exists in Autoconnecto.
  2. Device attribute lorawan.dev_eui (or integration.external_id) equals the end-device DevEUI.

In Autoconnecto

  1. Open Integrations → New integration.
  2. Choose The Things Stack (TTN), name it, create.
  3. Copy the HTTP endpoint URL.
  4. Click Generate webhook secret and copy the value (shown once).
  5. Start the integration.

In The Things Stack

  1. Open Applications → [your application] → Integrations → Webhooks.
  2. Add a webhook.
  3. Paste the Autoconnecto HTTP endpoint URL.
  4. Add header X-Webhook-Secret with your secret.
  5. Enable uplink messages and save.

Dry-run without TTN

From the device SDK repo (examples/integrations/):

bash
export TENANT_ID=… WEBHOOK_SECRET=… DEV_EUI=…
./ttn-webhook.sh

Uses ttn-uplink.sample.json.

Verify

Trigger an uplink. Check Integrations → [your integration] → Recent events for success, then confirm telemetry on the device.

Optional transform

Use Transform + Dry-run preview on the integration detail page to reshape decoded payload keys. Optional Script transform runs after pipeline steps for custom JS decoding.

Auto-create devices

Enable Auto-create device on first uplink if you want unknown DevEUIs provisioned automatically.

  1. Integration detail → Downlink.
  2. Enable downlink; set TTN API base URL, API key, and Application ID.
  3. Save, then send hex payload to an Autoconnecto device ID that has lorawan.dev_eui set.

Rule Engine

Use Downlink → Auto-downlink from telemetry on this integration, then bind the created engine on the device profile. Or configure node integration_downlink via API.
